The Chinese ZTE has applied in this case so called pre-emptive attack. The company has just announced PF200 and N910 - two smartphones that will have a press release at MWC in Barcelona. You can see the photographs and a part of specifications.
The information that the two smartphones have to work under the supervision of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sounds promising, but the experience of processors installed in the ZTE phones raise questions about the effectiveness of such a solution. - The manufacturer hurries with the information that one device will be powered by the main unit with a 1.2 GHz clock, and the second - 1.5 GHz.

ZTE PF200has a 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen and qHD resolution (960x540 pixels). An 8MP camera captures video, of course, although the manufacturer does not provide the maximum resolution and 1080p front facing camera for video calling. The device will work across all the main LTE, UMTS and GSM spectrums, and will come with Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, WiFi, A-GPS, digital living network alliance (DLNA) compatibility. Multimedia output is realized on the basis of the MHL, and additionally PF200 offers users NFC.
It seems that the second model, the ZTE N910, is intended for the U.S. market, as it is mentioned in the specifications about work across LTE FDD, CDMA and EVDO spectrums. A slightly smaller than its predecessor capacitive VGA display (480x800 pixels), a slightly smaller 5MP main camera (with autofocus and flash), suggest a lower price. Again, here we have the interfaces GPS, WiFi with DLNA and Bluetooth.

ZTE distribution department has a unique ability to sell the same models to all possible vendors and operators under various names. The two new smartphones that will be in Barcelona, have a chance at a huge global popularity, although locally probably they will notbe hits. Personally I do not like the phones from this brand, but I respect the enormity of the work put into their promotion and sales, and relatively low prices, with acceptable performance and pretty good specifications.
