It's time for another curiosity from the world. Do you think clamshell phones are usually elegant, most typically female mobiles? What would you say for a clamshell for special assignments? Sounds ridiculous? Maybe... not?

This kind of phone comes to the offer of U.S. network Sprint. Kyocera has prepared it and called DuraXT. This is - as I have mentioned at the beginning - a clamshell model, but it differs quite a bit from a stereotype. It lacks finesse, elegance also is a bit questionable. Aggressively styled case received additional reinforcements and gaskets, so that meets the Military Standard 810G for protection against dust, vibrations, extreme temperatures, sunlight and moisture, including salt from sea water. The phone can be immersed for half an hour at a meter deep water, it will also endure a fall from a considerable height. The case is covered with a rubber, non-slip Dura-Grip material for more secure holding. It does not belong to one of the smallest, it is quite thick. And in the middle - lies a fairly ordinary 3G phone with a 3.2-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot and Bluetooth. Unfortunately there is no GPS, but it will not be expensive.. I do not know anything about the appearance of this model in Europe. But let's assume it's unlikely... a pity!
