Apple, apart from hiding the debut models and preparing splendid presentations, is also working on new solutions that could revolutionize the cellular market. I came across one of their most interesting ideas...

The idea has so far the form of a patent application, which was taken to the registration office in the U.S.. The patent assumes the installation of cameras in phones with swappable lenses. Imagine now the camera of the iPhone 4S, which can be equipped with a telephoto or a fish-eye... Sounds good, right? In the solution proposed by Apple, the lens would be built into a piece of the rear cover, which could be replaced when needed. This is puzzling, because as we know, a California corporation rather does not apply solutions which assume an exchange of any item of equipment by the user. On the other hand, think how much can be earned by offering additional lenses or even the filters! Maybe that's it?

The second concept is more in keeping with the policy of Apple. In it - you could not change anything, but there is available a second camera in the opposite corner of the enclosure. It would have a different focal length lens - that probably would give us a choice between a wide angle and a telephoto or a macro. Switching cameras would be with motion sensor - by rotating the phone.

The patent was filed for registration in 2010. If it has not been used in any model, and in 99.9% it will not go to the next, we can assume that it landed in the bottom of a drawer. A pity, because it is quite interesting ...
