We have been writing many times about the changes that await us with the introduction of a new iPhone model, however we return to the theme, because one of them has got the most reliable confirmation so far.
We're talking about a new, narrower docking connector. Reuters writes about it - the agency known for many years with the publication of proven news. Its information - as was given - borrowed from two independent sources. Both agree that the new iPhone will receive a smaller, 19-pin connector, rather than the old 30-pin wide. This will reduce the size of the connectors, but also frees up additional space inside the housing. Unfortunately, Reuters did not reach the information if the new connector is in any way compatible with the current microUSB (which I think everybody would welcome), it also does not confirm earlier rumours of moving the headphone jack on the bottom of the smartphone.
