Today, a small leak on successor to Sony Xperia S smartphone. The new model will be called Xperia SL, referring to its predecessor, not only with the sign, but its styling.

Sony is doing well while maintaining an extremely distinctive element in the form of a transparent strip that divides the body into two, seemingly separate parts. The new model - if we can trust leakage accompanying graphic works - will be very similar to its predecessor and will have almost identical dimensions. It is impossible to assess this differently than in a positive way, because "S" is a successful project, definitely outstanding against competitors alike.

At present, we know that Xperia SL receives a stronger, dual-core Snapdragon processor clocked at S3 1.7 GHz. At the start it will also receive something that users of the current model had to wait for a very long time. We are talking, of course, about Android 4.0. Xperia SL will be offered in five colours — black, white and silver, pink along with the rumoured purple. Unfortunately, it's everything we know so far. We can expect the official presentation of this model, at the IFA in late August, where we also get to know the new Sony tablet (also under the Xperia sign), featuring Tegra 3 and a 9.4-inch screen.
