In Barcelona, we saw a lot of new models of Nokia smartphones and phones. But we expect that these are not all new products that will be presented this year by HMD Global - we are waiting primarily for Nokia 8 Pro and Nokia 9.
Nokia 8 Sirocco was one of the most interesting MWC models - but we can treat this smartphone as an improved version of last year's flagship, the Nokia 8 model. We are still waiting for the next flagship. Will it be Nokia 8 Pro, or maybe Nokia 9?
What specification would Nokia 8 Pro have? According to previous leaks, it would be a smartphone running Android Oreo, with a 6.01-inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels. 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory. For this, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, a dual main camera (16 + 16 megapixels), a 13-megapixel front camera, wireless charging, USB-C and a 4000 mAh battery. Nokia 8 Pro would appear in the third quarter of 2018, probably in August.
Nokia 9 is suspected with a 5.7-inch screen and an extensive photographic module with 4 lenses. It could also be the first smartphone of the manufacturer, equipped with a fingerprint scanner built into the screen. Just like Nokia 8 Pro, Nokia 9 would also get Snapdragon 845. The smartphone is expected in September, maybe it will be officially presented at the IFA in Berlin? Nokia 9 is to be the flagship from the premium shelf, priced at the level of Galaxy S9 - Nokia 8 Pro is to be lower priced.
