Motorola officially unveiled Moto Z3 Play. In this model, the manufacturer put a strong emphasis on photography and its variety.
Motorola Moto Z3 Play has a slim housing adapted to cooperate with Moto Mods modules and a 6-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ and 18: 9 proportions, protected with Gorilla Glass 3. The heart of the phone is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, assisted by 4 GB of RAM and Adreno 509 graphics. Internal memory comes in two variants - 32 or 64 GB - and can be expanded with a microSD card.
Motorola Moto Z3 Play offers LTE connectivity, it also has dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and GPS/Glonass/Beidou navigation. There is no minijack, its role was taken over by the USB-C port, but the set includes an adapter for regular headphones. The phone also has a fingerprint reader, a face recognition system and a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh with fast charging. Everything works under the control of an almost raw Android 8.1, but the upgrade to the next version has been announced.
The front camera has 8 megapixels and f/2.0 aperture, while the rear camera is dual, with a main matrix of 12 Mpx and a f/1.7 lens and an auxiliary matrix of 5 Mpx, f/2.2. The camera records 4K movies, can also take a photo with animated portions in the frame, as well as display elements in only one colour, chosen by the user. There's also classic background blur and the Google Lens app.
Motorola Moto Z3 Play will hit the European market in the summer, but we do not know yet at what price. It is known that there will be both a Dual- and Single SIM variant, as well as the Power Edition version offered with a free moto-modem - an additional battery. In Brazil, the smartphone was priced at 2299 real, or about 602 USD.
