Photography and video
When it comes to photography we do not expect much from a phone with business connotations, but KEYone turns out quite well. The front camera has 8-megapixel and f/2.2 aperture, while the back one – 12-megapixel and f/2.0. In both cases we can talk about good photo quality.
Of course this is not the level of the best photography smartphones, but I do not think that potential users of KEYone would have any reasons to complain about. Photos are sharp, well lighted, with accurately represented details and colours.
It is slightly worse with weaker lighting, but fortunately we can use the manual mode, decrease sensitivity and prolong the exposure time. And if we will not use high sensitivity and we will take care of a stable support for the phone – effects will turn out at least good. In any case – I thought that it will be worse.
The same thing goes with videos – here KEYone gives pleasurable results as well. It can record in 4K, it can record in 60 frames per second (in Full HD) and in slow motion. The image is smooth, the sound – correct – there are no reasons to complain about. It is true, it does not have optical image stabilization, but the camera is decent without it. It is worth buying a tripod or a gimbal.

The camera interface is rather simple, it does not offer too many modes (but it does have a “scanner” function), and the only thing that disturbs me is that running the manual mode is too complicated – we need to go into “settings”…
However, using the mode itself is comfortable – and we can use the keyboard-touchpad for changing parameters. The “secret” photo option is an interesting feature – we take them by pressing space bar. Those files do not go to the main gallery but to a secure “compartment”.
