Numbers are not everything

Display

These flaws are successfully negated with the display. Xiaomi Mi Note 10 - for this day – has one of the best displays on the market. It has only one flaw – which is a trivial one: curved edges. For me this is not a flaw (I am used to this), but there are users who do not like this solution.

If they force themselves, the display will please them with beautiful colours, good black levels and a high contrast and brightness. In sunny days, when I was additionally blinded by the light reflected by the snow, I preferred to use Mi Note 10 over my favourite flagship. It means something. The display will work great in sunlight, but it is a strong player at night as well. The minimum brightness drops down a lot, and in addition there is a blue light filter. We can even turn on the night mode and we have a dark perfection.

Mi Note 10 has of course the AMOLED matrix, which has a 6,47-inch diagonal and a Full HD+ resolution. It is worth underlining the support for HDR10 and the possibility to swiftly control the saturation and the colours temperature in the menu.

The display has a function of limiting the flickering and, unfortunately, has a water drop notch. The latter can be masked by turning on an appropriate function in the interface. There is the Always On Display, which compensates for the lack of a notifications LED. And at the bottom of the display there is a fingerprint scanner…

Security

And this is one of the best display scanners that I have ever used. It works ably and rather fast, though I still miss the speed of work of classical scanners. Despite my small complaints, the scanner in Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is the element which definitely needs to be commended. I can praise the facial recognition system in a similar fashion. It works fast, even with weaker lighting.

In order to unlock the phone we need to have at least one eye opened or take off dark glasses. Unlocking the device with a photo did not work – but, just in case I remind you that the facial recognition in Mi Note 10 is based on the image from the front camera – so it is not the best security feature.
