Kyocera DuraForce Pro is a phone with a rugged design. The housing is specially reinforced, making it shockproof and drop-proof, meeting the requirements of military standards Military Standard 810G. According to it, the phone also tolerates dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, blowing rain, low pressure, solar radiation, salt fog, humidity, immersion, temperature shock and icing/freezing rain. An additional confirmation of the strength of the unit is IP68.
Inside the housing we will find an octa-core Snapdragon 617 1.5 GHz processor, supported by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory for data. The phone also has a strong external speaker (100+ dB) and a fingerprint scanner built into the power button. Another piece of equipment is the battery with a capacity of 3240 mAh, which can be recharged wirelessly or in fast charging technology Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. The interface of Android 6.0 Marshmallow is presented on a 5-inch FullHD display. The touch panel can be operated with gloves or under water.
The highlight here is, however, mentioned at the outset action camera. This is a 13-megapixel camera, mounted on the back of the phone. It records movies in FullHD and has lens covering the field of view of 135 degrees. The camera has a dedicated image processor and the ability to record slow pace and sequencing, and a special mode for shooting underwater. The phone will be accompanied by a special cover, which allows to use the handles to the "popular action cameras" - that is probably GoPro.
Kyocera DuraForce Pro will be available in the coming months, but price has not been determined yet.
