We are back for a while to talk about the new iPhone. There are photos showing the front panel of the iPhone 8. It seemsthat - as previously reported - the screen will take up almost the entire front of the phone.
Assuming that the photos actually represent the real element of the new iPhone, the fingerprint reader will, however, be mounted underneath the glass of the screen - or it will go into a completely new place for the iPhone. Maybe on the back of the housing, maybe under the surface of the switch button ...??
Still, we cannot be sure of it, but one thing is clear: there will be a distinctive, rounded key in the front. On the other hand, we can expect an almost frameless screen with a characteristic indentation at the top. Visible on today's published photos front panel seems to correspond to the appearance of what we know from unofficial renderings, even from the ones we recently presented..
It is worth paying attention to the number of holes above the screen. It suggests the presence of an iris scanner. It's possible that Apple has decided to replace a fingerprint reader with it, but that's a bit of a theory, just like the one that talks about the double front camera ... Going back to the latest renderings... One more detail catches the attention. At the very top of the screen there is a line of icons - you can see the symbols of range, Wi-Fi, battery ... And where is the clock? Is Apple preparing the always-on display ...?
As asmall addition to today's gossip, we have another visualization by Martin Hajek. This time the graphics prepared a presentation of the colour version of the new iPhone, which you can see in the gallery by clicking this link.
