After a series of reports about the launch, none of which were official, here it is: Sharp Aquos S3 finally appeared on the producer's website.
Sharp, who really started the fashion for frameless displays, stays in shape. The ratio of the screen size to the entire front surface reaches 91% in Sharp Aquos S3. The screen measures 6 inches, has FullHD+ resolution and – something that not everybody will make happy – a notch on the top of the display.
The phone has the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with 4 GB of RAM and Adreno 508 graphics. The internal memory is 64 GB and can be expanded with a microSD card.
Sharp Aquos S3 received a dual rear camera, with a 12-megapixel main sensor hidden behind a f/1.75 lens and an additional 13-megapixel sensor behind the telephoto lens with a lossless zoom. The front camera, on the other hand, has 16 megapixels, a f/2.0 lens and the beautifying mode based on artificial AI intelligence, which also supports the face recognition system.
Sharp Aquos S3 also has a fingerprint reader and all relevant communication modules, including of course LTE, as well as NFC, dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as the DualSIM hybrid slot. The smartphone works on the basis of Android 8.0 Oreo with the Smile UX overlay, drawing energy from a 3200 mAh battery with fast charging in the Quick Charge 3.0 standard. The price is 11990 new Taiwanese dollars, which gives about 412 US dollars.
