Until now, MediaTek offered systems in the Helio X (highest performance) and Helio P (premium) series. Now his portfolio is complemented by the Helio A series - from advanced, awesome and affordable. According to marketing materials, the systems from this family are to provide advanced technology and amazing experiences, and at the same time will be offered at a low price.
The first processor in the Helio A series is MediaTek Helio A22, which combines four 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 2 GHz with the IMG PowerVR graphics processor from the GE series, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and AI support in the software. It can handle displays with a 20: 9 aspect ratio and 1600x720 resolution, a single camera up to 21 megapixels or a dual camera (13 + 8 megapixels). The entire SoC is produced in a 12-nm process.
