Honor Play 8A debuted in China - previously known in unofficial information as Honor 8A. The phone is already on offer from the official Huawei online store - although it was supposed to debut on January 8.
Honor Play 8A has an IPS screen with a diagonal of 6,088 inches and HD+ resolution, with a droplet notch, housing an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 lens and permanent focus. Speaking of the camera - the rear one is also single, has 13 megapixels, PDAF and a lens with f/1.8 brightness. The heart of the phone is the new MediaTek processor - Helio P35, with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked up to 2.3 GHz and the PowerVR GE8320 graphics system. The smartphone also has 3 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal memory and a microSD slot.
Honor Play 8A works under the control of Android 9 with the EMUI 9.0 cover, drawing energy from a 3020 mAh battery with the option of fast charging to 10 W via USB-C. Honor Play 8A of course has LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 or GPS, but no gyroscope or NFC, and Wi-Fi only works in the 2.4 GHz band. The housing with dimensions 156.28 x 73.5 x 8 mm is available in four colour versions, and the weight of the phone is 150 g. For now, we only know the price of booking a cheaper version - it is 799 yuan, or 117 dollars. It is known that at the start of sales you will have to pay something extra.
