Apple has been using non-standard power and data connectors for years. This is supposed to change, and the company wants to modernize the iPod Touch.
These revelations are broadcast by Macotakar's website. Relying on people "working on the new iPhone", the next generation of Apple smartphones can be equipped with USB-C connectors. It is true that it has not been decided - as it was pointed out - but it must be remembered that USB-C has already hit the MacBook and Pro's computers - so it would not be surprising if the phone finally got a more universal slot.
The other information does not apply to the smartphone, but the device is quite closely related to it - the iPod Touch, an expanded player with an access to the Internet, applications and touch screen. The current generation model is already on the market for quite a long time and can be described as somewhat outdated. It's time for a successor - and here Macotakara refers to anonymous people met at CES and showing that Apple is preparing the seventh generation of its player. The question remains - is there any sense in introducing hardware that can be fully replaced with the iPhone?
