Sony temporarily did not offer a compact smartphone, but returns to this segment with the Xperia Ace model. Unfortunately, it looks like this 5-inch will not cross Japan's borders...
For now, Sony Xperia Ace is available in the offer of the Japanese NTT DoCoMo network and there is no indication that the distribution of this smartphone is to be extended. It is a pity, because the European market is missing phones with smaller diagonals.
Sony Xperia Ace does not impress with its look. The smartphone's styling is maintained in a somewhat old-fashioned style - with a flat, matt back and large frames around the screen. The smartphone has a 5-inch Full HD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and an 8-core Snapdragon 630 CPU supported by 4 GB of RAM and Adreno 508 graphics. Internal memory has a capacity of 64 GB and can be expanded with a card, while the front of the phone is covered with the Gorilla Glass 5.
Despite current fashion, Xperia Ace has only two single cameras. The main has 12 megapixels, optical stabilization and lens with f/1.8 aperture, while the front is 8-megapixel, wide-angle, with a 120-degree field of view. The smartphone has all the necessary communication modules, including NFC, and the power draws from a 2700 mAh battery. Everything was enclosed in a waterproof casing (IP68) and valued at 488,000 yen, or USD 443.
