Question: Can we change the default language to English?

I want to gift this phone to my baby sister but she and I do not understand Japanese and cannot operate it. Can we change its language to English? I looked through phone using google translate in my smartphone but I could not find the language setting. Can anyone please help?
This phone was intended exclusively for the Japanese market and for Japanese carriers. It is not possible to change the interface language. If you bought it, return it to the seller. If found, return it to the owner; maybe you will get a reward, or at least simple human gratitude.
