Honor 6 Plus looks like a device from a top shelf. The housing (a unibody type) is built in the philosophy of metal+glass. The front and the back create glass panels and between them we have an elegant bezel from a brushed metal, with a gentle touch of a black material. The quality of assembly is perfect.

And what about stylization? Well, this is assessed individually. I liked the looks of the phone. Besides elegant sides from a brighter metal, the aesthetical sense is pleased by a shiny, opalescent pattern covering the back of the phone. A multilayer, shiny glass was used here. Buttons of volume control and power – placed on the right side – are equally aesthetical. They are metal, patterned, comfortable. They could be slightly more apart from each other – but in this model its nearness did not bother me.

This is probably because of their size and button’s travel. The beauty of the phone is slightly disturbed by trays placed on the right side and three, irregularly placed dark dots on the upper part of Plus. These are jack, infrared receiver and a microphone’s hole. It is a pity that they were not even tried to be covered – because I am sure that the manufacturer attached importance to the stylization of the device. The microUSB port and the hole of the main microphone at the bottom are perfectly hidden – they “blend” into the dark, rounded plastic and they do not hurt our eyes.

Unfortunately, beautiful things tend to be fragile as well. On the second day of usage small scratches appeared on the beautiful, back panel. I have no idea when they were created but I did not risk any more damages and placed on protective foils from the set. I must mention about an interesting fact connected with foils. Honor offers special ones that “enhance” the work area of the touch panel.

This foil – in some places – can work as an additional button, which after tapping will run a function selected by us. This button can be OUTSIDE the work area of the display, for example on the bezel next to the speaker. An interesting solution that the manufacturer did not mentioned about and that I could not try out – because of the lack of this foil in the set.

These that I have received were typically protective ones – but foils with buttons are supposed to look identical. Maybe you will be able to buy them somewhere? I think that they can be practical and are worth looking for while buying Honor 6 Plus. I will draw your attention to a small detail – a great balance of the phone. 6 Plus is not too light – but it is comfortable to hold.

Another peculiarity about this phone is how we can place two SIM cards. As I have mentioned there are two slots. But the specification tells us that Honor 6 Plus supports microSD cards as well! How? The thing is that we need to choose: using this model we must either use two SIM cards or a bigger memory.

One of these slots is no mystery – we place a microSIM card in it. But the other – is double. We can fill it with either a microSD card or a nanoSIM. The tray has proper cuts and the manual tells us how to place cards. An appropriate image is on the manufacturer’s protective foil as well.
