Let's take a look at the equipment. In fact, 8X is the top model of the HTC with Windows. And the list of equipment is...standard. The same items can be found in the low-ranking Nokia phones...Therefore, here we have Bluetooth 3.1 with A2DP, DLNA, GPS and GLONASS. There is also, of course, Wi-Fi and all the standard system components, i.e. the player, the access to the app store, calendar or e-mail client. The main camera has an 8 megapixel screen, and secondary one - 2,1 megapixel. Actually nothing is missing, but I think that in the top phone there should be something extra. This something might possibly be Beats Audio loudspeaker system...but is it enough?

I have already written quite a few about Windows and its interface. In order not to get you bored again by providing the description of how it works and how it looks, I recommend the previous reviews of Nokia smartphones to your insight. I would only add that the manufacturer has put here some of its own apps. Among them is HTC hub, which includes a weather service, stock market updates and news from the world. Of course, we can choose ourselves both information sources and presented stock prices. We also have the access to the Internet Setup Wizard, as well as flashlight and converter units. The last of the company's apps is Photo Enhancer designed for a simple photo editing, in operation it’s similar to Instagram. We open a photo in it, then apply the filter and save. Nothing new. The esthetes may be irritated by the fact that the apps icons from HTC does not correspond too much with the style of the interface... I’d also like to mention about maps. The manufacturer equipped the phone with Microsoft package, other maps - we have to download from the app store. There is also "Children's Corner", an app useful for parents. In this app you can define the features and apps of the phone suitable for your child, when it starts using your smartphone.

How it all works? Like Windows! Quickly, efficiently and conveniently. As for the operation of the system, I don’t have the slightest objection. Whatever bad we want to say about Windows, I must admit one thing - WP8 is well optimized. A phone doesn't have to be a compilation consisting of top components to provide a comfortable usage - and this is it, after all. To be sure, I put 8X to a few benchmark tests – you can see the results in the graphics below. I think it’s not bad.
