Summary

The new model received a refreshed, elegant look, a nice display and a nice interface that is not overloaded with useless additions. When it comes to the efficiency, Huawei P9 gives way to flagships from the competition but it does not mean a drastic drop of efficiency.

The phone has a battery, which is able to provide up to two days of normal usage without the necessity of using the charger, but most of all P9 has a camera, which in proper hands will ensure perfect photos.

Gamers will criticize the noticeable heating of the device. It lacks the infrared sensor (the remote), it does not have an inductive charging as well. Charging the battery takes too long. The phone has a troublesome USB-C socket that I hate and it does not record movies in 4K.

Those recorded in FullHD do not astonish. The smartphone has an enhanced, advanced camera, which cannot show its full capabilities in the auto mode – and most users of mobile phones photograph in this way.

I have complained, so now I will mention some advantages to keep the balance. Huawei P9 has a brilliant, nice playing speaker and it offers a good quality of voice calls. The phone works well as a navigation or as an MP3 player and it proves itself while browsing the Internet. I highly appreciate the biometric scanner, it works reliably and we can use it as a touchpad. The solid and aesthetical housing and the low weight of the phone are cherries at the top.

Huawei P9 is inferior to this year’s flagships in some aspects, but at the same time it is much cheaper.

If you would like to enjoy a top smartphone and you would like to save some money at the same time – it is worth thinking about P9.
