Battery
The lifespan of the device, which has a 3000 mAh battery, was in most cases rather average. In practice, with a moderate usage, the phone demanded to be charged at the evening. The lifespan with the display on is slightly more than 3 hours. With a more economical usage we can achieve around a day and a half.
When using the charger from the set we will fully charge the phone in less than 3 hours. After 30 minutes the battery level is around 25%, after an hour – around 45%. With those numbers you can easily see that there is no quick charging technology.
And here are more detailed measurements:
- lifespan with the display on (YouTube, 1 SIM card, active Wi-Fi module, 50% of brightness) - 8 hours and 6 minutes,
- an hour of video streaming (Chrome, 1 SIM card, active Wi-Fi module, 50% of brightness) – around 13-14% of battery lost,
- an hour of video streaming from the phone’s memory (airplane mode, 50% of brightness) - 10%,
- half an hour of using online navigation - 8%,
- half an hour of playing Real Racing 3 - 10%,
- PC Mark battery test result – 7 hours and 3 minutes,
- 8 hours in the standby mode - 2% of battery lost.

Summary
Huawei P Smart is a decent and a reasonably priced smartphone, which checks out in an everyday work. It cannot be distinguished neither by a top design nor with its specification, but it is a handy and a well-made device. When it comes to the efficiency it will not please mobile gamers – but it will fulfil most tasks without any lags. It will take photos good enough for uploading on social media, but it will rather not please those who care about the quality of a mobile photography. Its price is attractive – around 229 euro – but it must face with a numerous competition even from its own brand.
The biggest rival of Huawei P Smartis another model from Huawei – in a similar price we can buy Huawei Mate 10 Lite, which has more RAM and a bigger internal memory, as well as a capacious battery. Let us not forget about Honor 9 Lite, which has a similar specifications but is being sold in a lower price. For a similar price as P Smart we can buy HTC U11 Life, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), Motorola Moto G5S Plus or Xiaomi Mi A1. The choice is yours :)
