Huawei P Smart Dual SIM

How smart is P Smart?

Communication

P Smart supports the most popular connectivity standards, like Wi-Fi 802.11n (unfortunately without the 5GHz frequency), Bluetooth 4.2 and navigation based on GPS and GLONASS systems. There is an NFC module as well, which can be used for wireless payment. From physical elements there is a universal jack and a microUSB socket with the OTG function. All modules work decently – I had no problems with any of them, though navigation in the walking mode could have been slightly more accurate.

Voice calls

The smartphone supports two SIM cards, but only one of them can work in LTE. Selecting a default card for calls and data transfer is intuitive, and the quality of calls itself – superb. I had no problems with understanding interlocutors both while using the speaker and the loud speaking mode. There were no problems from the other side either. The microphone catches the sound well and the noise reduction works properly too.

Memory and efficiency

The Kirin 659 CPU (the same as in the P20 Lite model, Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9 Lite) with the 2.3GHz frequency and 3GB of RAM ensures enough efficiency for every day activity. Unfortunately this hardware was net equipped with a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for the artificial intelligence support. The GPU is ARM Mali-T830MP2 with a 900 mHz frequency. The phone has 32 GB of memory (eMMC) out of which the user is left with 22.8GB. In addition, we can enhance it using microSD cards – provided that we will not use a second SIM. The smartphone can use drives of up to 256GB. Unfortunately we cannot set it as an internal memory and install apps on them – but we can use it as a default storage for photos, music and other files.

The smartphone works great with most tasks, especially those concerning web browsing and using social media. Some lags will occur while running more power-consuming apps. The smartphone is powerful enough for most games, though we must remember that this device will not ensure ideal smoothness and can lag sometimes.
