Samsung Galaxy S21+ is the bigger brother of the compact flagship Galaxy S21. Bigger - but in what way better?
This will probably be the shortest review of the Samsung’s flagship in the history of our website. Not because Samsung Galaxy S21+ is dull. Not because it's a bad device. Simply because it is so closely related to its little brother that I was speechless. Especially that I have already told quite a lot about it when comparing Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+.

Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21+ differ in size and some other specification details. What are they - you can check here, watch the movie or just read the comparison between Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+.

And I will share my observations with you, pointing out how these differences translate into the daily use of Samsung Galaxy S21+ and whether it is worth paying extra for this model - or maybe it is better to choose Galaxy S21...

Styling, ergonomics and "feeling"
Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21+ seem to be identical. When you look at the photos, however, you will notice that despite the theoretically the same version - their colour is slightly different. This is because the smaller model has a back covered with plastic, and the larger one - with Gorilla Glass Victus glass, as well as the front. In fact, glass looks more attractive. It shimmers nicely in the sun, and the logotype shines more and is more eye-catching. Unfortunately, glass can break, and colder days are less pleasant to touch. The plastic is pleasantly warm. The material also seems to be a bit more porous, which theoretically translates into a more secure grip. In practice - I held both models equally well. Galaxy S21+ is a bit larger, so in my opinion it fits better in the hand. It is a matter of individual choice - and as always, I suggest before buying to "touch" phone or at least a dummy in the store (remembering to disinfect your hands!).

In terms of ergonomics - Samsung Galaxy S21+ is perfect, in terms of build quality - also. Those who need to feel the glass to classify the phone as a premium class will be satisfied with this model. It is premium. Plus - beautiful...

Is the display of good quality?
The Samsung Galaxy S21+ screen is brilliant in every way. Sufficiently large, suitably clear, suitably bright. Color reproduction and contrast are similar to what we see on the screen of the smaller Galaxy S21. I reassure readers who have been terrified by the difference in pixel density (ppi). You won't notice it in everyday life - looking at the screen of both models is equally enjoyable. I spent a bit more time outdoors with the Galaxy S21+ - and I really appreciated the quality of the display. But I appreciated less of the factory-glued protective foil. It is very susceptible to scratches, although it is still bravely stuck in place and protects the screen before we put a harder glass on it.

Is the Galaxy S21+ warming up?
Galaxy S21+ powers the Samsung Exynos 2100 processor - the same as the rest of the family. Does the glass on the back of the housing make the processor work differently? In theory, a glass should better dissipate heat than plastic. Unfortunately, Galaxy S21+ works on average as a hand warmer.

To warm up with it on a winter's day, you would have to loop some demanding benchmark, or constantly record 8K movies... And even then the phone's temperature will not be considered high. Does the larger model get hotter than the smaller one? No, the temperature level is similar. Device performance - too. What are the subjective impressions? Great, Galaxy S21+ works fabulously smooth.

Is a bigger battery better?
Galaxy S21+ has a 4500 mAh battery - 500 mAh larger than the compact model. In practice, you have to really really want to notice the difference. A model with a larger battery will have a slightly longer SoT time and will recharge for a few minutes longer. Perfect for someone who likes to spend the whole day with a stopwatch in hand. I cannot deceive you that you cannot see the differences, but believe me - they are so small that you will not feel them at all in your everyday activities. You can safely assume that Galaxy S21+ can work all day, or maybe even two. Of course, the Plus in the model name does not unfortunately mean that a charger has been added to it...

Photos and videos – on a good level
With Galaxy S21+ I went to a slightly more interesting area - but my observations about the cameras are basically the same as in the case of Galaxy S21. In other words - during the day, kick your soul, at night - it is better to use only the main camera with the night mode. Selfies aren't stunning, but they're really good, and the movies are amazing.

Everything I didn't mention ...
If in the above short review I did not mention a topic - feel free to ask about it in the comment below the text. Before that, however, I suggest you take a look at Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ comparison and the Galaxy S21 review. And what if in any of the earlier texts lurks the answer to your question...?

Is it worth buying Galaxy S21+?
If you are looking for a flagship with a great design, great screen, speakers, decent performance, battery and cameras - then yes. If you do not mind the lack of a microSD card slot, minijack, headphones and charger included - all the more. However, if you want something smaller - you have an almost identical Galaxy S21 model! And it is this choice that I like the most in this year's Galaxy S. We choose a larger or smaller smartphone, not weaker or stronger ... Of course, Galaxy S21+ is more expensive than the base model. In my opinion, it is worth paying extra for a larger display.
