Have had the T-Mobile version of the TCL Flip 4 5G (model T440W) for 1 week using nano SIM, not eSIM):
Note: Thru T-Mobile/MetroPCS: ~ $80; with T-Mobile: ~ $140 ($100 + $35 connect fee + tax)
1) You need to use speakerphone mode on most phone calls, normal sound quality is so bad (the same problem with TCL Flip 2 (model 4058G); do not believe the marketing hype
2) Cannot send many text or email messages
3) Keypad input defaults to "predictive"; a useless option (similar to spellcheck): wrong most of the time.
4) TCL build quality, process, etc., is suspect. Limiting retail price to approx. $100 or less guarantees a poorly operating device. (suggestion: design/manufacture a quality phone & double the price!)
Should I go back to the TCL Flip 2? :-(
