Display

Even though the display in Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is bezel-less, it proves to be comfortable. I had no problems with using the interface, and the matrix itself – though it is a simple IPS – I have no reasons to complain about. The display has 5.99 inches and a Full HD+ resolution.

The image is sharp enough and colours shown on the screen can be considered as a rather natural ones. They are not as saturated as in OLEDs, but there are no reasons to criticize anything, especially that in the menu we can find an option of adjusting the saturation to our own liking.

There is of course reading mode, which can turn on automatically according to a pre-set schedule and in which we can control both the brightness and the colours’ temperature separately. Brightness levels give no reasons to complain about. The minimum one is very low, it ensures comfort even in complete darkness, while the maximum one is high enough so that we can use the phone in sunny days. However, It would be a lie to tell that it could not have been even higher. The automatic regulation works well, just like the touch panel.

Fingerprint scanner

The fingerprint scanner placed at the back is perfect. It works fast and ably, with an almost 100% readability. It has a high tolerance to dirt or moisture, it can be used to authorize payments, access to selected apps and to release the trigger of the camera.
