Communication, sound

When it comes to the communication hardware, Mi MIX has everything. There is a dual-channel Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC or GPS/Glonass/Beidou/Galileo navigation. All modules work without any problems, I did not notice any problems with connectivity or maintaining the coverage. What is interesting is that sharing the Internet through Wi-Fi works even when the phone is connected to another Wi-Fi network…

The precision and the speed of navigation gives no reasons to complain, everything works as it should. The constant disadvantage is the lack of minijack, some may complain about the USB socket in the 2.0 version. It is worth commending the presence of two SIM sockets, a friendly dialler and a classical Google keyboard. I will add that there is a possibility to record calls.

The quality of sound is nice, which does not mean that there is no room for slight improvement. The receiver has a narrow cavity, which means that we must “target” our ear with it – though besides that, I have no concerns towards its power and quality. I will complain about the weak isolation of the speaker from the surroundings – during a call too much sound escapes outside. The external speaker is just like the receiver: good, but it could have been better.

It plays loud and clear, but there is nothing to be astonished by. It is supported by the upper speaker, but the stereo sound is basically unnoticed, the second speaker is noticeably quieter and it mostly deals with upper pitches. The decent sound quality through the USB-C adapter is worth noting, just like the presence of the equalizer and predefined settings for particular types of earphones.
