Technical specifications

Purchased somewhat by chance and without prior inspection because it was the launch day for 750 PLN, but a cheap phone was needed quickly. In person, the appearance and feel are quite good, the back cover has a pleasant texture, it operates smoothly, the screen is fine, and the included case fits well. In my opinion, at this price, the competition is much slower during phone operation. I would buy it again and will even recommend it if someone is looking for a budget device.

Disaster. If anyone wants a quick opinion. But regarding the details... I would like to point out that I am comparing everything to my previous Redmi 7. Camera: Photos are of terrible quality. They only turn out correctly in bright lighting. In any poorer lighting conditions, such as clouds, indoors, or at night, the photos are significantly worse than those taken with the Redmi 7. Two phones held together, same conditions, same time. Every photo taken with the Redmi 7 is better than the one taken with the POCO M5. Additionally, the camera tends to have a certain pastel color palette. It is as if the phone sometimes forces a "pastel quality degradation" filter. There is also no burst mode... it is very disappointing. Processor: Supposedly better parameters, but after starting up, it had terrible performance delays throughout the day. Navigating between subsequent screens was even troublesome. After one day, I assume it downloaded what it needed, and now it only has occasional delays. Unfortunately, the smoothness is worse than the Redmi 7. It was a surprise to me that the phone does not have a notification LED, but that is my fault, I did not read enough. Such a small thing, yet it is so missed. System: Whether it is the system or the overlay, I do not know where the fault lies, but there are so many bugs... There is no split screen; other Poco phones have it, this one does not. It is impossible to set separate sounds for notifications, so whatever happens, there is only one notification sound. Switching between applications does not exist. It is always a restart of the application as if it lacked memory and every switch to another application simply clears the memory. For example, you are watching YouTube but someone wrote a message, you go to SMS, read it, return to the YouTube application, it loads it again and the music is played from the beginning and additionally you have to watch advertisements because the application was started again so now it always loads advertisements. This is what irritates me the most after a month of use. I do not recommend it and I advise against it. It was supposed to be an upgrade, but it is a significant downgrade :/

Avoid this device completely. I have had it for over six months and it is terrible. The camera is of very poor quality; the relme 5 is significantly superior to it in all conditions. Additionally, it experiences significant performance issues; listening to music and using a simple application for the gym causes this phone to struggle as much as the user. Furthermore, every time an application is minimized, the application memory is cleared and all forms and other data are deleted. It is highly problematic if someone calls while using youtube or something similar; the phone becomes unresponsive and one must wait, perhaps the caller will wait a moment before the call can be answered. To make matters worse, advertisements are integrated into the operating system, which is a sign of extreme disrespect toward the customer. Finally, there is a consistent lack of notifications from applications, whether it is messenger or mobywatel.

The worst phone I have ever used. A low-quality device that does not keep applications in memory, e.g., I am buying something in an application [...], I go to the banking application for a BLIK code, I return to [...] and an error occurs - it reloads the application from the beginning. I am watching something on YouTube, the phone rings, I answer, I return to YouTube and it reloads the application from the beginning. Another problem - the phone rings, and the screen does not show who is calling, only the ringtone can be heard - it is impossible to answer. The phone is not fit for use.

As a budget phone for undemanding users it is quite okay; purchased at the beginning of 2024 for about 300 PLN, it works perfectly. However, it actually lacks several features from a higher price range. It can experience performance slowdowns after intensive use, and applications often restart after switching to another one.

A very nice phone that handles many applications in the background well. The price for the highest model is excessive; I bought it on sale myself and have had it for over a year.
