Huawei announces a new, large smartphone. The model A199 won’t be a flagship model, but it won’t be a budget one as well. This is a typical, well equipped mid-range mobile.
Huawei A199 is scheduled for sale at the beginning in China and the so-called emerging markets. However, a wider distribution was not ruled out. It is a dual-SIM smartphone, working in GSM, CDMA and EV-DO, using its own, 1.5 GHz quad-core Huawei K3V2 processor. This unit supports 2 GB of memory, which together gives hope for very efficient handling of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The interface appears on the 5-inch display with HD resolution, which is 1280x720 px. The performance of a battery that has a fairly high capacity 2150 mAh is also promising. The smartphone also features a built-in 8 GB memory and a microSD card slot that supports media up to 32 GB. Keen photographers will receive also the 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well as the 1.3-megapixel webcam for video calls. All was closed in a casing made of plastic with a thickness of less than 9 mm and a weight of about 160 g. If we trust in electronic translator, on the Chinese manufacturer's website it states that the smartphone will be available in blue and white. Unfortunately, we do not know the price...
