It's an odd launch, because Panasonic P51 is reminiscent of Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD. The isn't any information about relationship between smartphones of Panasonic and TCL currently producing Alcatel phones.
There isn't - or at least we could not find - the official press release note. BGR publishes a collective image of governors and a press photo of Panasonic Eluga. In contrast, other sites publish press materials with Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD in the lead role, but probably no one has noticed the similarities so far. It is very strange because it's difficult to go wrong with the specific magnetic flap of Alcatel smartphones. In one of the poor quality photos it says "Panasonic".

The same seems to be a technical specification (except for the version of the operating system), at least those details that in the case of Panasonic P51 has been established. Comparison can be found here..
Panasonic P51 will be the first Panasonic smartphone sold in India. - This sentence in the light of the above seems to be a mockery. It will cost 26,900 Indian rupees. This gives you about 380 euro or $ 490 U.S.

All major services write about the launch. Either we fall for a design and specification, or the first android Panasonic smartphone in India is also the Alcatel smartphone (TCL - if you prefer). Maybe Panasonic has produced TCL smartphone. They might have changed at least the cover? It's all terribly complicated.
