In a moment Kyocera plans for the U.S. market a launch of its smartphone for special assignments. Kyocera Hydro XTRM has Military Standard 810G certification for shock and drops, and carries IP57 certification for protection against dust and immersion in up to 3.28 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. Resistant to breakage touchscreen was covered additionally with a reinforced cover.

In addition to resistance to environmental influences and a moderately careless user, Kyocera Hydro XTRM offers support for 4G networks and the stable operation of Android Jelly Bean version including a 1.2 GHz dual-core-processor. A 4-inch display is based on IPS matrix. The main camera has a 5 megapixel camera and the front has 1.3 megapixel.
