I've just received white, new Samsung Galaxy SIV. Very soon I'll introduce a wider review of the Korean flagship, but for now I will tell you briefly about my early feelings and contents of the package.
The box is a little unusual. A distinctive white was replaced with a pattern imitating wood. The instruction, the warranty card and a cable clamp which is printed on rough, unbleached paper are maintained in a similar "organic" style. Does Samsung want us to realize how much it cares about the environment?

After opening the box we can see - Samsung Galaxy SIV - wrapped on all sides with films. Under the telephone, there are hidden under an extra liner, two manuals and accessories: a charger, a USB cable and headphones. These – as for factory ones - promise to be good. They have an interesting style, and are a type of spinal. Included are three sizes of silicone caps. Headphones have a minijack connector and on the cable there is the microphone with the keys to answer calls and adjust the volume. I would add that the set has the same colour as the phone - white. I assume that the black version and the other, announced recently will also receive a variety of colors corresponding accessories.

There has been written hundreds of pages on the subject of how Samsung Galaxy SIV looks like. My first impression: refreshed Galaxy SIII. "Four" has a similar size and similar style, but the quality is also unfortunately similar. I will not be original, but I have to agree with reviewers' opinions: we require more from a flagship! I recognize, however, that the assembly quality leaves nothing to be desired, and the biggest concern is a limp, thin battery cover and its latches. If you do not intend to frequently replace the SIM and memory cards - nothing should happen, but it certainly is not the design of the user often changing the mentioned cards. The same concerns I have with respect to the projection lens of the camera. It is also prone to premature wear...

Under the delicate cover we find the battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh (pre-installed in the phone), over the battery there are metal slots for microSD and microSIM cards. At the bottom the phone has a microUSB slot opening and a microphone, and on a top wall there is another microphone (to ambient noise), headphone output and a mysterious "eye" - IR transmitter. On the left side there is the oblong volume button, and on the right - the switch. Unfortunately there is no camera button. The front is decorated with a logo, but next to it - a bit chaotic – there are scattered sensors. The white version with the clearly accentuated presence can hurt aesthetes' eyes... Near the sensors there is also LED notifications - visible only when it lights red or blue, depending on what it communicate. The casing received a "speckled wallpaper" from the microscopic dots, interestingly shimmering in the light.

I will go back for a moment to the user manual, because it is worth a closer look at it. Samsung has done a great job here! Both brochures are printed in a custom size and with a little too small font. But it's a little thing, because they also include lots of illustrations. The first book is a typical "serious" statement describing the key features of the smartphone. The second - called "Manual" – is like a comic book for children. Large pictures, little text - but a lot of content. These components often overlooked by manufacturers make the smartphone much friendlier to new users.

It is said that first impression is the most important. So to summarize: the phone may appeal to you, has a good set of headphones and the eye catching instruction and the quality of the whole is satisfactory. Unfortunately, holding it in my hand I do not feel that this is equipment for almost 1000 dollars or 700 euro. There is no little sense of luxury, uniqueness of the use of the most important model from Samsung. But other than that - I think it wil be great...
