Another proposal of Yota Devices

The Russian company Yota Devices, which is known as the creator of the interesting smartphone YotaPhone with an additional e-ink screen on the rear cover, presented its new product - a versatile, mobile hot-spot Wi-Fi called "Ruby".

The device was presented at CTIA in Las Vegas, where it reportedly met with a warm welcome. Industry experts appreciated particularly high styling, defined as a unique and compared with Apple products. "A router does not have to be unattractive,"- says Yota Devices CEO, Vladislav Martynov, with whom we had the opportunity to speak at the MWC.

Ruby supports most of the mobile connections in the world including EDGE and HSPA+ and several LTE bands, and has a slot for a SIM card that allows you to switch local service providers while traveling. A built-in battery with 2100 mAh capacity is sufficient for up to 16 hours of use, and its charge to 70% lasts less than an hour. According to the manufacturer, Ruby allows you to save battery on your phone. The smartphone connected to the access point via Wi-Fi consumes according to Yota from 3 to 5 times less energy than when using mobile communications.

Ruby is also energy efficient, because the display, which shows battery and signal status uses e-ink technology, in which the energy is absorbed only when the display changes the screen image. Additionally, the device has a two-colour LED indicating connection which the router uses. This light glows blue within LTE, and when you go to 3G it becomes orange. The power button switches between the provision of communications after giving a private password or public mode access point that supports up to 10 devices simultaneously. Ruby itself is configured to operate without requiring user intervention.

Yota Ruby will be available soon in Europe, Russia and Asia, and at the end of the year it is welcomed in the United States.
