On this lazy Tuesday afternoon I have a reflection: why is number of dangerous incidents concerning phones growing in summer? Sometimes it explodes, other times it burns... Should we blame the impact of higher temperatures or maybe boredom?
In just the past few days in the world's two sites we read about the attacks on smartphones on their users. Unfortunately, one had a tragic end. 23-year-old Chinese stewardess has Ma Ailun from Xinjiang was fatally electrocuted while trying to answer a call on his iPhone 5 connected to the charger. The Apple company immediately issued an apology and promised a thorough investigation. Perhaps it turns out that the charger was not original, just as it did in the case of the unfortunate fellow of 23-year-old, who was killed two years ago in similar circumstances.

A 18-year-old Swiss was much more fortunate. In her case it ended up in fear and severe burn of a leg. Here, for a change, Samsung Galaxy S3, which brazenly exploded in the pocket of the teenager, turned out to be the cause. Here, too, the manufacturer has started its own investigation in order to explain the cause of the accident. It is possible that the battery discharge was caused by its crushing in the pocket - but that's just my guess. I am sure that in both cases, manufacturers will explain the circumstances of accidents and take appropriate measures to prevent recurrence.

However, I would like to return to the issue raised at the outset: why such incidents usually occur during holidays? Maybe my question should be: why do services write about such cases, only on holidays, although they happen throughout the year? I have a theory. Summer is for information services a "dead" season. Not much going on in politics, there are no launches of new smartphones or tablets... We therefore have a red herring: once a monster of Loch-Ness, and today killer mobiles.
It saddens me that accidents caused by dangerous, designed and produced in a hurry electronics, see the light of day when one cannot write about the exploits of politicians, athletes and the subsequent process of Apple with Samsung. If it were otherwise, if we knew of any accident involving a phone or microwave, would the manufacturers recover and introduce additional trials or tests, rather than to test their products on us, customers - in the name of rapid technological progress.
