We have become used to the fact that a typical smartphone, even not in use, needs a battery to be charged at least every other day. And if it withstood a month? Impossible? Philips says it's possible!
The latest smartphone signed by Philips, Xenium W8510 is to withstand on standby as much as 35 days. By other measures, it will also provide 18 hours talk on 3G networks or 14 hours of surfing the web via Wi-Fi. When you load an empty battery only for 10 minutes, you can count on two hours of talk time or a day in standby mode. Even if we assume that these values were obtained in laboratory measurements performed under ideal conditions, the performance can be considered impressive. What is particularly interesting, the W8510's battery doesn't have an extremely large capacity.

3300 mAh is a lot, but not so much as to power the android smartphone for a month regarded as a typical result. The manufacturer probably put more emphasis on the optimization of energy consumption, cost components, and - perhaps - some software tricks. In addition to incredible performance of the battery, in this phone there is no longer anything special. Gigabyte of RAM, MediaTek CPU and only 4 GB of memory, do not make any impression on us. A little better looking is a 4.7-inch display with HD resolution, but it is also not a miracle. And perhaps there is a key to success, either long work or performance, and "stuff". We have to wait for miracles...
