On Wednesday afternoon LG unveiled its new flagship smartphone: G2. In this model, there was abandoned the additional name of Optimus - but that's not the only surprise...
G2 is not a revolutionary design, but without a doubt, it deserves to be called a high-end smartphone. LG uses the quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, compiled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The smartphone also has a 13-megapixel camera with optical stabilization system, as well as the front camera with 2.1 megapixel matrix. The phone will be available with a built-in memory with a capacity of 16 or 32 GB, but unfortunately, this space cannot be larger – there is no microSD card slot.

Particularly noteworthy is the 5.2-inch full HD display. With Dual Routing technology it was possible to reduce its frame to a minimum, making the smartphone look very chic. The screen is also energy efficient - displaying a static image it requires about 26 percent less energy than a typical one. The battery is also interesting. It has a capacity of 3000 mAh, in addition, it is designed so as to fill as much free space inside the case. The manufacturer boasts that it is the world's first smartphone that can reproduce Hi-Fi 24 bit/192kHz (better than a CD).

The most noticeable feature of this model, however, has become mechanical buttons located on the back panel. Adjusting the volume with them is apparently much more convenient than conventional, on the side of the phone. These buttons serve multiple functions: one starts QuickMemo notebook, and the second camera. The phone has also some additional features, such as Guest Mode or QuickRemote - capable of controlling AV equipment. LG G2 runs on Android 4.2.2 and has dimensions of 138.5x70.9x8.9mm. Sale in Europe is starting in two months, but the price has not been disclosed yet.
