In the pursuit of better cameras in smartphones Sony cannot get ahead, but seems to follow a slightly different route than Samsung and Nokia. Additional lens as a standalone product? Why not.
Nokia has invented and developed a new technology in smartphones from PureView series, Samsung has decided to implement a compact camera with Android and phone feature, but Sony probably will not put on a definitive solution that can significantly increase the cost of production, and thus the cost of selling a photo smartphone. There have been additional lenses, but they never had such professional preparation and binding.

It is not known when the launch is - maybe already at the IFA in Berlin? But in the provided preview pictures we can see additionally Honami i1 - the latest Sony smartphone. Maybe we'll deal with a double spectacular launch, which will loom large in competition's mind.
Those who do not need a lot of resolution and great quality to take photos, will remain at their smartphones, but it will not be so easy for Nokia and Samsung in the battle for buyers of photographic models Lumia 1020 and Galaxy S4 Zoom.
