A curiosity from the U.S. The local network FreedomPop presented a very unique offer which allows to use a mobile phone virtually for free, but of course in a bit - I emphasize: slightly limited extent.
The only cost appears at the beginning - it's $ 100 for the purchase of refabricated HTC Evo Design and joining the network. Then, completely without any cost you can use per month up to 200 minutes of talk time, 500 text messages and 500 MB data transfer. What's the catch? Voice calls are held in the VoIP protocol using the Sprint 3G, WiMAX and LTE network, so the quality can vary.
For those who need higher limits, FreedomPop proposed offer for $ 8 a month, which gives unlimited SMS and an additional 500 minutes of talk time. Another option, for $ 11 - it's an offer without limits. Additionally you can have packets of data: 1 GB for $ 10, 2GB for $ 20 or 4 GB for $ 35 and 5 GB for $ 40. Without them, the price is 2 cents per 1 MB.
The offer has some drawbacks - such as the need to purchase a not very modern, refabricated phone or the VoIP voice communication. The services are for the time being in beta phase, and have territorial restrictions. These inconveniences, however, do not obscure the benefits, especially for those who are not very intensive phone ussers. In fact, they have a free phone for $ 100 start-up fee!
