Pantech has decided to join the fight in the segment of phablets and presents its latest work: Vega Secret Note. The device can be a formidable competitor to Galaxy Note 3…
Unfortunately, the battle will be fought exclusively on the Asian market - Pantech is not planning a wider expansion of this model. The clash might be interesting, because (apart from price) Vega Secret Note towers over competitor due to a slightly larger screen and the presence of a fingerprint sensor. Vega's screen measures 5.9 inches and has a Full HD resolution. You can operate it with the stylus, pulled-out from the housing. The heart of a large Pantech is a quad-core Snapdragon 800, supported by 3 GB of RAM. Internal memory is 32 GB and you can enlarge it by plugging in a USB external storage device with a capacity up to 2 TB. The equipment complements the 13-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The power supply is a reasonable battery with the capacity of 3200 mAh. Pantech has interesting LED notifications, integrated into the "home button". Another interesting feature is the fingerprint scanner located at the rear that protects not only the access to the phone, but also the individual files or applications - hence the "Secret" in the device name. The manufacturer added also a digital TV receiver and modified the Android 4.2 system interface.
The home market price is 900 000 won, around $840.
