Xolo today launched its new device in the Indian market: Xolo Q900. This is a budget, quad-core smartphone, which will be offered only in a white housing for the equivalent of about 150 euro.
It's difficult to expect miracles for such amount of money, but the specification of Xolo Q900 turns out to be fairly decent. The smartphone is equipped with a1.2 GHz clock quad-core ARM Cortex -A7 MT6589 processor. The system is supported by a PowerVR SGX544 graphics and 1GB of RAM. That should be enough for efficient handling of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The smartphone got an 8-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front camera that can save shots to 4 GB of built-in memory. The memory can be obviously enlarged with a microSD card. Xolo Q900 is a dual-SIM that supports 3G network with HSPA. There is a battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh, which is - according to the manufacturer - enough for 10 hours of talk time on 3G or 18 hours of music playback from a built-in player. Standby time is expected to be 384 hours in 2G and 298 hours in 3G. The display measures 4.7 inches diagonally, while the resolution of 1280x720 pixels will result in this case in the density at 312 ppi.
