During the event, Samsung 's Analyst Day, which was held in Seoul, the Korean company opened the curtain on its plans for the coming months. The company is working on a 64-bit chipsets and high-resolution displays. We know, therefore, what the future flagship of Samsung may be...
Samsung has announced that regardless of the work on their own chips, it will continue to work with Qualcomm - we can therefore be confident that the new models will have the next generation of Snapdragons, probably also 64-bit. The information about the new AMOLED displays for mobile phones sounded also interesting. The introduction of a model with a display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and a density of up to 560 ppi was already announced for next year. After a quick comparison of both values we get a screen size of around 5.2 inches. Will it be Galaxy S5? But that is nothing, because for the next year Samsung also plans to implement screens with even higher resolution - 3840x2160. Here coefficient density of pixels per inch is more than the 600-700, maybe even 800 ppi .
Assuming that the screens' diagonals will not be increased beyond the barrier of 6 inches, it can be concluded that it is the edge of possibility - at least to the human eye. There are already some models in which it is difficult to see individual pixels. Once you get beyond 600 ppi - the image will be sharp enough so that further compaction shall cease to have meaning, because the eye will not see a significant difference. In my opinion - this path leads to nowhere. Super clear displays will require more memory and more powerful processors, and those - more power. Meanwhile, cannot hear too much on how to increase the battery capacity... I like much more the information that there will be continued the development of flexible displays. Samsung is said to have one third of the patents related to the technology of flexible screens, which suggests that these screens also will visit the next year's models. I hope they will be more interesting than the first one!
