The Chinese company Gionee has announced the Elife E7 smartphone with an impressive specification, equipped with a high quality camera. Gionee is a well-known manufacturer on the home market, but in the global market it has not had time to shine. Now, this may change.
Any global flagship manufacturer wouldn't be ashamed of the specification of Gionee Elife E7. The Chinese have managed to pack all components in a pretty top-slim, nice to look at housing. The phone features a 5.5-inch FullHD display with a density of 401 ppi. The phone will be available in two versions: 3G and LTE. In the first variant it will have a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM, and a variety with LTE will be clocked at up to 2.5 GHz and supported by 3 GB of RAM. The set will have 16 or 32 GB of memory and a battery with 2500 mAh capacity and an 8-megapixel front camera.
The camera in this phone is quite impressive. It received Largan M8 optics (unknown at the moment aperture) and 16-megapixel OmniVision sensor 1/2.3 inch size, where each pixel measures 1.34 microns. For comparison, a pixel in the coming Samsung Galaxy S5 measures 1.12 microns - as Gionee says in its announcement. This camera, due to the larger size of the sensor is to ensure pictures at the highest level achievable for smartphones.
Gionee Elife E7 will cost from 440 to 570 dollars, depending on the version. The phone will be controlled by Android 4.2 with the company's Amigo ROM overlay.
