Quechua brand is rather associated with clothing and sports equipment, but soon we will begin to connect it with phones. The brand owners decided to put their logo on the competitive smartphone dedicated to enthusiasts of an active lifestyle.
Quechua Phone will be created in collaboration with Archos, which will lend its technical expertise endeavor. The result will be a smartphone with a reinforced casing, designed for use during mountain trips and other excursions in the open air. The phone will have a cover that protects the electronics from bumps and getting wet - in accordance with the requirements of IP54. Quechua Phone is to use a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor supported by 1 GB of RAM. On board there will be also 4 GB of memory with a microSD slot, a 5-megapixel camera, and - important in the case of high-performance cells - a large battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh. Unfortunately, the manufacturer hasn't disclosed the performance of the display. We only know that it will have 5 inches. That resolution will be 720p, the cover glass is resistant to scratching and breakage - this is only my guess. Quechua reveals, however, that the smartphone will be controlled by Android 4.1., and the price will be 230 euro.
