One of the Chinese sites reported about upcoming Asus plans. The company is reportedly sending invitations for December 11, when there will be held in Taiwan the launch of the new incarnation of Padfone - this time in a Mini version.
Although in our region a smartphone-tablet hybrid is sold rather poorly, sales on Asian markets prompted Asus to present the next version of the device - until it was time for something more compact. Asus Padfone Mini connects a 4.3-inch smartphone with a 7- inch tablet. Similarly, as in the case of existing models, the smartphone will remain the heart of the device. The tablet part - is in fact a bigger display with an extra battery and sockets. According to information from the Chinese site UDN, Padfone Mini will work with a quad-core Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 controlled by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It is worth noting that Padfone Mini is to be a dual-SIM. Besides it, Asus also plans to launch the smartphone MemoFone HD 5 and the third-generation tablet Nexus 7 - but we have to wait for them at least half a year.
Last weekend brought a small update - service @evleaks published a photo of the new phablet:
