Pantech introduces on the Korean market a new model for users who care about the security of their data. The Vega Secret Up smartphone guards the confidentiality by using a fingerprint scanner.

Pantech placed the scanner almost in the same location as HTC did in its One Max. In the Pantech phone the scanner does not, however, serve only to unlock the screen, but it can protect with the unique pattern of finger an access to individual applications and files in the phone memory. In addition, the phone provides the ability to mask the selected content on the screen with an image indelible for an outsider person, the screen also has a special polarizing filter, to ensure confidentialit . A person viewing the phone at the right angle sees everything normally, but others, looking from the side or from behind, do not see anything.

The security package was supplemented with very decent specs, including a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 5.6-inch FullHD display. The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel camera, a battery with a capacity of 3150 mAh and 16GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Unfortunately, the smartphone will be available only in Korea, at least in the initial phase of distribution, which will begin in December.
