ASUS unveiled at CES in Las Vegas a completely new line of smartphoneswith models: ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6. A common feature of Zenfone family will be Intel Atom processors and favorable prices.
At the beginning there were presented Zenfones in three sizes: 4, 5 and 6 inches. The cheapest 4-inch model, costing only $ 99, bases on the Intel Atom Z2520 system clocked at 1.2 GHz. There is also a gigabyte of RAM, the screen resolution is 480 x 800 pixels. Its housing made of plastic will be available in five colours, and has a 5-megapixel camera. The phone ZenFone 4 will draw current from the battery with a capacity of 1170 mAh, which is enough for a full day of work.

Another, slightly larger ZenFone 5 already has the Intel Atom Z2580 processor with Quad -Thread Hyper-Threading technology and 2 GHz clock speed. The 5-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a GloveTouch module, allowing the handling with gloves. The larger model also has a better camera: an 8-megapixel BSI sensor works with PixelMaster system that analyzing neighboring pixels is going to give better lit photos. The housing is still, however, made of plastic, but there is a reasonable price $ 150.

The top model ZenFone 6 measures 6 inches and is technically similar to the 5-inch. However, it has the IPS display which can be operated not only with gloves but also with the stylus. The resolution of the camera sensor rises to 13 megapixels here, and the battery will have large capacity: 3230 mAh. The largest model is priced at $ 199 and will be offered (like 5-inch) in four different colours. In addition to the new Zenfones, ASUS introduces a model PadFone Mini - a hybrid of a 4-inch smartphone with a tablet.
All new models use the latest Android, but enriched with a proprietary interface ZenUI. The ZenUI includes application of a funny name Omlet Chat. It is a communicator, combining text messages, multimedia and user location. All new models will soon appear in the United States, and we still hope for a European debut at MWC Barcelona and for prices similar to the U.S....
