HP does not need any introduction. This well-known manufacturer of computer equipment has not recorded yet any significant successes on the telecommunications market - but that could soon change. The company is trying to attack the market of large smartphones, that is phablets.
Sales of PCs are dropping, but tablets and smartphones market is continuing to grow. Not surprisingly, the American giant is looking right there its new place. Unfortunately, since the success of that business iPAQ devices, mobile gadgets from HP did not win too many recipients. Tests with Pre3 and Veer phones and the TouchPad tablet based on the WebOS system, ended in failure. Now, HP is experimenting - and will show classic designs with Android. Maybe already at the Barcelona MWC in late February we will see the debut models in a size of 6 and 7 inches, equipped with Jelly Bean. The new HP phablets called Slate 6 and Slate 7 VoiceTab are based on processors from Marvell Armada series. The use of these chips is dictated by their apparently favorable price, which will translate into cost of the entire unit.

Displays of the new HP are to have a resolution of 1280x720 pixels or 1280x800 pixels, the memory is to have 16 GB. There are of course microSD card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and it is said also about the front stereo speakers with Beats Audio system. Hewlett Packard will offer in its phablets the opportunity to work in Dual-SIM mode and two cameras - at least 5 megapixels for the rear and 2-megapixel on the front. According to the assumptions, the prices of the HP phables will be around 200-250 dollars. It was revealed that the new models will debut in February in India. There was not excluded their worldwide distribution, so it is worth to look for them in Barcelona. I hope that we will see them live, because in the pictures they look extremely promising.
