SK Telecom on its stand attracts, among others, with a very nice little educational robot Atti. The device is based on an interactive touch screen offering easy playing and fun developing intelligence and supporting cognitive processes.
Atti is not a novelty. It has its launch in October last year at Robot World 2013 in Korea. However, its promotion at the fair shows that large companies are looking for new ways to branch to reach the youngest customers through their parents. We are talking about both operators and manufacturers of electronics - smartphones and tablets.

Atti is designed for children aged 4-7 years. The robot starts to work when the child mounts in it an Android smartphone and launches the application Atti Home. Among the games you can find a program exercising a sense of rhythm, knowledge of English, as well as multimedia Korean- English dictionary containing 3 thousand words.
The interaction with the robot is done using voice and a variety of sensors, including optical and proximity. The robot comes with a "magic wand" acting as a scanner and electronic pen.

How Atti robot looks in motion you can see on the film. Allegedly, American scientists preparing software for Atti were convinced that the interaction with a mechanical friend accelerates the process of education and has a great influence on memorization. Now I know that the contact with the device is a great fun.
