The Chinese company Xiaomi, achieving local success in the higher segments of the market, also tries its hand at a lower price segment. Soon it will bring to Far East markets an inexpensive model from Redmi series, also known as Red Rice or Hongmi.
The phone passes tests in the Chinese TENAA certification authority, and soon it will pay a visit to the markets of Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong-Kong and China. It will cost the equivalent of about $ 130. The phone stands out with a graceful, modest housing accented with red buttons of Android system under the screen. The display measures 5.5 inches, is made with IPS technology and has a resolution of 720p. Under it works an octa-core MediaTek processor, which - depending on the smartphone variety - will be clocked at 1.4 or 1.7 GHz. This feature will be dependent on market and network that will offer the phone, similar to the range of the supported network. There will appear variants TD-SCDMA, WCDMA and CDMA2000. There will be also different front camera modules - 8 - or 5-megapixel. Regardless of the version, at the back there will work a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, and there will be also a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32 GB.
