Just over a year ago the Chinese start-up, aimed at creating an alternative operating system Smartisan OS based on Android started its activity. The project is crowned with a success, because the first phone based on this platform: Smartisan T1 debuts in China.
The basic premise of Smartisan OS is to simplify the interface. It is based on a 3x3 grid of icons with three-position dock at the bottom. A user can zoom in to a 6x6 or 9x9 grid, there is also the possibility to customize the icons. In addition to simplifying the interface there was added the support for using the gestures, the ability to transfer information from text messages and e-mails directly to the calendar and screen lock code.

The smartphone itself also looks promising. It has a carefully made and quite nice casing (available in white and black) and a 5-inch FullHD IPS display covered with Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is based on a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, supported by 2 GB RAM and 16 or 32GB ROM. The downside of the device is the lack of a memory card slot. The phone has a non-replaceable battery with a capacity of 2570 mAh and will be offered in two versions: 3G and LTE. Prices will amount to 480 or $ 560...

On board of Smartisan T1 there is also a 13-megapixel camera with Sony IMX214 matrix with lens f/2.0, supported with a 5 megapixels front camera. The phone has the advanced audio amplifier OPA2604 and a designer package. The Chinese people can look out for it on store shelves in July. And we, well ... I guess, never.
