The rumour has become a reality: Apple buys Beats Electronics. The transaction value is $ 3 billion, of which 2.6 billion will be paid in cash and the remainder - later. Apple buys not only the well-known market brand of headphones and speakers, but also the know-how associated with streaming music.
Buying Beats Electronics is the most serious of such transactions in the history of Apple. A famous rapper Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine music producer who in 2008 founded the Beats, will now work for Apple. Both artists are well known and recognizable in the world of music and among audience, therefore, it's possible that they will be new faces of the California corporation. You have to remember that it's not just Beats headphones and speakers (the sale of which will credit now Apple), but also Music Beats service, offering online streaming songs. It's likely that it is Beats Music which was a hunted cause, which prompted the head of Apple Tim Cook to conclude this transaction. It is not hidden by Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, who said: "Music is such an important part of Apple's DNA and always will be. The addition of Beats will make our music lineup even better, from free streaming with iTunes Radio to a world-class subscription service in Beats, and of course buying music from the iTunes Store as customers have loved to do for years."
The transaction will be finalized as soon as regulators agree to it. According to Apple, this is to be the end of September.
